A much better month than January even though it was 3 days shorter.  I need to get busy reading to make my goal at the end of the year.  The good thing - I have really enjoyed all the books I have read this month!

Favorite of the month:This is really tough this month because there are lots of contenders.  I could go through and list by different genres but I think I am going to choose These Things Hidden by Heather Gudenkauf - just an amazing book that you must check out if you haven't yet.

So how was your reading month?

My reading year is off to a slow start, but I hope to pick up momentum soon.  The great thing about this month is I really enjoyed all the books I read, so I can't complain on that account.

Favorite of the month: Little Princes by Conor Grennan, I just can't say enough about this one.

Favorite of the month: This Gorgeous Game by Donna Freitas - it was powerful and creepy and very interesting.

This was a slower month for me, but still a good month.  I was plagued by a reading funk in the middle of the month and then it became busy around the house with Thanksgiving.  I'm getting back into the groove with reading and reviewing so hopefully December will be a better month!

All-in-all it's one of my best months this year (only January was better) and the even better thing was it was full of great books.  I've been a little lax on review books, and trying to get through my library stack.  No luck reading anything of my own yet, but that will come.

Favorite of the month:  Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles - I just felt this one so much and I can't wait to read Rules of Attraction.

    March Summary

    March Summary

March wasn't my best reading month for sure.  My grandmother passed away at the beginning of the month and has kind of left me in a reading slump.  I seem to be coming out of that now and expect April will be better.  On top of that, it seemed like we had something to do all the time, family get-togethers, things at school, my youngest started t-ball and many other things that just sucked the time right from me.  Add to that the beautiful weather which means it's time to start the garden.  I'm hoping it will calm down in April and I will get back to reading.  I know the read-a-thon is coming and I can't wait for that - I think that weekend is just what I need to jump start my reading!

However I really won't complain - it was still a good reading month - I enjoyed all of the books and was introduced to some wonderful new writers.  I think I reviewed all but one of the books I read and it's review will be going up later today.

Another good reading month - 17 this month, 44 total for the year so far.  I still haven't touched anything from my shelves, mainly reading review books, library books and now a few ebooks on my new Kindle.  I am going to start working on a few of my books this month.  I also need to play catch up with my reviews.  For some reason February was busy - I'm back at work full-time and getting use to it.  It's also taking a lot of my reading time.  But I'm starting to get the hang of it again and plan to get a lot of reading done this month.

One thing I notice - I read a lot of YA this month - 13 out of 17 books!  Wow - I still wish I had had all of these great YA authors when I was younger!

    October Summary

October was a busy month around my house, but I still managed to get a lot of reading done.  It was a fun month and Halloween was a blast - with my youngest a year older, we actually managed to trick-or-treat in two neighborhoods. The classic line of the night was uttered by my 4-year-old when a nice older lady gave him 50 cents - "But you're supposed to give us candy".  We'll have to work on teaching him about money.  The 8-year-old on the other hand was thrilled with the money.  The big take of the night was a glow stick - next year I'm buying some of those for the boys to start out the night with!

I read a grand total of 31 books this month - my largest total to date and it came out to 7,699 pages. I also read 15 new authors again this month.
