My Review:
I have very eclectic music tastes so I was intrigued by Hudson Lights.  I thoroughly enjoyed their self-titled debut.  If you enjoy a jazzy take on pop then this is just the band for you to enjoy.  I loved the covers and the original music alike.  I found it fun to listen to "Beautiful Day" (originally by U2) and then their own "Good To Me" as well.  "Eleanor Rigby" (The Beatles) was also a lot of fun.  I think my favorite was "Autumn Leaves". All-in-all I found this to be a great CD for a go-to listen when I'm feeling a little more mellow or when I just want to feel happy.  I wish these four artists the best of luck and I hope to see many more CDs from them in the future!

About the Author
I'm a Florida native who currently resides in Greenville, South Carolina with my husband and toy poodle. When I'm not writing, I can be found drinking Earl Grey tea with honey and cream, singing ineptly and butchering the lyrics to my favorite songs, and asking my friends ridiculous, hypothetical scenario-based questions.

Book Promo & Author Interview with Kelliea Ashley (Enemy Mine)

Today I begin the first of several spotlights featuring authors and books from publisher Breathless Press. I think these books deserve a definite look and I thank each of the authors for participating in an interview. I hope you enjoy this first one with Kelliea (love the name) Ashley featuring her book Enemy Mine. So check out the interview, check out the book and leave a comment for Kelliea too!

Interview with Kelliea Ashley:

What 3 things do you need in order to write?
Three things I need to write: my laptop, my index cards to keep track of details, and my lap warmer named Copperkitty.

When did you decide you wanted to be a writer?
I was twelve years old. I was sitting in the lounge of the small extension of Mater Dei College. My mother was taking college courses and she didn't have childcare for me. I was a quiet bookworm, so the staff didn't mind me waiting for her. To keep myself busy I started jotting down a small children's story about a trouble seeking kitten. Once I started writing, I didn't stop.

Tell us what Enemy Mine is all about
Enemy Mine is a Paranormal Romance about a Romeo and Juliet type of couple. Rissa is a Witch and Travis, her love interest is a Guardian of the Light, a sworn enemy of anyone who wields magic. He seeks her out intending to use her to infiltrate her Coven, but soon finds himself tempted by her beauty and sweet nature.

Dish, who’s your favorite character?
My favorite character in Enemy Mine is Rissa's familiar. Theophyline is a fire cracker. She has attitude and isn't afraid to say what's on her kitty mind.

What would you say is Rissa's most prized possession?
Her most prized possession before Travis came into her life was Theophyline, but after she loses her, his amulet becomes priceless to her.
For all of us impatient readers, what is up next for you?
I am currently in edit on a Christmas release for Breathless Press. I have also entered the Nanowrimo contest. I've been asked repeatedly to write a romance about the secondary characters from my very first release, Winter Gifts. I hope to have Spring's Promise finished at the end of November. Cross your fingers for me.
Describe yourself in 140 characters or less.
I'm a woman who isn't afraid to try new things. I've held an eclectic array of jobs from nurses aid to a DJ to a dairy farmer. I'm goal oriented and anal about deadlines. I love writing and to see my name attached to an e-book is a dream come true. I have a very supportive family and friends standing behind me in everything I do. My husband and my furbabies are the most important things in my life, so writing is the icing on my cake.
What do you enjoy doing when you aren’t writing?
I really enjoy spending time with my husband. Josh is a fun person to be around and he knows how to make me laugh when I need it most.

Excerpt:
His solid shoulders flexed beneath her hands, sending a jolt of physical awareness through Rissa that she didn't fully understand. She found herself caught in his dark eyes, as if she might drowned in the sweet depths of his soul. He was stronger than she'd given him credit for. She'd taunted him as a means of pushing him to reveal his true self and his plan to destroy her. She hadn't counted on him being bold enough to take her teasing as a challenge to his manhood. There was no doubt about his virile prowess with the hard length of manhood pressing against her lower belly. Rissa swallowed a moan as a tingling sensation preceded a delicious throbbing between her legs.

Holt's masculine grin sent a shiver down her spine in a mixed reaction of fear and excitement. She'd come to the mountains to escape her future, and the Goddess, in her divine wisdom, was throwing a strong vibrant male in her path. She wondered if he was the answer to her prayers or the end of her torment. Life or death, the path would be something she would not regret later.

"The tempting vixen is suddenly without words?" Small lines crinkled at the corners of his eyes as he stared down at her. Rissa found him devastatingly handsome, and though he was also disgustingly arrogant, his quit-witted repartee and blatant sexuality made him impossible to dismiss. A ride with this man would definitely be all kinds of hot, sweaty fun, leaving him worlds away from her intended groom. Her heart nearly broke as she could almost see the invisible binds of her family's expectations wrapping around her, binding her to a life that would surely leave her an empty shell of misery. They wanted her to marry for breeding and bloodlines, but it went against every dream she carried with her of finding the other half of her soul.

Rissa experimentally moved her hands down over his warm shoulders, her eyes watching her hands as her palms smoothed over hard muscles and rough skin to land on his firm chest. Beneath her left palm his heart beat a quick, fierce rhythm of life. Her fingers trembled as she stared at her hands resting on his naked flesh. He was real, he was a promise of rebirth, and he may be her enemy, but Travis Holt's caress touched her down deep in her soul, where she had always followed. Slowly, she raised her head, her eyes locking with his. She felt the strings attempting to bind them together and chose her path with a heavy breath.

"Do I tempt you, Mr. Holt?" His eyes dilated as his hands clenched on her trim waist. "Be tempted. Kiss me." She demanded with a confidence that built within her as his heart hammered against her palm in an accelerated beat.

"I don't think that would be wise. I don't even know your name." His jaw clenched as her nails lightly scored his chest.

"I am Rissa Jennings." She whispered as she reached up to thrust her hand in his hair to pull him down to her. Their lips brushed lightly, a testing kiss that had her blood singing through her veins with a magical call that she could not ignore.

Enemy Mine is available at Breathless Press, Amazon, Bookstrand, and Allromancee-books.

It started with a game - seduce the new teacher.

Eighteen-year-old Kaitlyn Laurent is living the American Dream. Born into a wealthy, socialite family with more opulent surroundings and material things than any girl could even fathom, Kaitlyn is the fresh, young face amidst a sea of morally-amiss Manhattan Debutantes. She is educated, poised, and on the outside - entirely virtuous. Her life, in short, is perfect.

Or so it would seem.

Inside the walls of her Upper East Side mansion, Kaitlyn is struggling. After her parents' divorce and her father's remarriage to a beautiful but otherwise utterly vapid woman, Kaitlyn quickly finds herself living in a realm of self-created fantasy, completely detached and entirely clashing with her new family – particularly, her classmate-turned-stepbrother, Marius. Arrogant and with a penchant for playing games, he is intrigued and infatuated by Kaitlyn's faux-chaste outer facade that she uses to cover an otherwise calloused heart.

When the two of them enter into into their final semester at Trinity Prep, and the buzz around campus is that a gorgeous new teacher has set foot in the classroom, Marius makes Kaitlyn a bet: seduce the man who is now her Literature teacher.

If she wins, she gets his trust fund. Money that she can use to finally escape a life that she has come to loathe.

If Marius wins...he gets her virginity.

When an initial spark turns into full-blown obsession, and her affections are inevitably returned – Kaitlyn learns that there are no actions without consequence, and some affairs are simply star-crossed.
