Spring Reading Thing 2009 Challenge

I'm joining in on my first official reading challenge:

This challenge is hosted by Katrina at Callapidder Days

For this challenge you put together a list of books you want to read between March 20 and June 20 and then simply read them. There are giveaways and prizes throughout the challenge at Callapidder Days.

So I'm thinking in 3 months I'll read 35 books - this is moving into my "I like to lay out in the sun while the boys play in the yard and read" time of year - or it would be if it would hurry up and warm up :) so I think I can accomplish that. Here are the books that I am planning to read:
  1. Marked by P.C. Cast - finished
  2. 14 by J.T. Ellison - finished

  53. The Neighbor by Lisa Gardner - finished
  54. Avalon High by Meg Cabot - finished
  55. Ms. Taken Identity by Dan Begley - finished
  56. Wake by Lisa McMann - finished

So there it is - in black and white. Some others may be added if my reading allows. This doesn't have any new releases that I'm used to getting because my library's computer system is down and I can't request from home. If they get that up, some things may be moved around a bit. I'll try not to take away because I want to do this right, but hopefully can add. I'm a bit behind on my reading this year due to a reading slump but this would help me out a bunch!

Great list! Reading outside when my boys are playing is one of my favorite things, too. :) Good luck and happy reading.

I love Jodi Picoult! Is Handle With Care her newest? I have not heard of it before. I might need to add it to my list!

This is an amazing list - wish my kids were a little older & played together a little better so I could just read while they played in the yard! :) Thanks for mentioning Jodi Picoult's newest - that wasn't on my TBR list yet, but it is now!

Wow, that's an ambitious list! I wish you well in your reading! I'm not familiar with most of those -- I have seen Janet Evanovich and Jodi Picoult's names but have never read their stuff.

I'm so glad you decided to join the challenge! And reading outside in the sunshine sounds wonderful... It's below freezing here today, but I'm hoping spring temperatures kick in soon! I just saw Jodi Picoult's new one at the bookstore the other day. I usually enjoy her books, so I'm sure I'll read it at some point.

Enjoy all your spring reading!

Your "lay in the front yard" and read time is my "sit on the sunny back deck time." Ah, yes.

I tried earlier this week. It was almost 60 and sunny, but still too chilly.

Be sure to wear sunscreen and a hat while reading this summer! I read for years in the sun watching the kids and am paying for it now! ;o) Love Allison Brennan.

I have a feeling that my Amazon wish list is going to grow significantly over the course of this challenge!

I do some reading outside with my munchkins but not as much as I would like ... I do spend lots of time pushing a swing! :) Great list.

Just wanted drop by and say hello!

This Spring Reading Thing is going to be fun and this is probably my favorite time of the year to be reading too. Sitting outside in the sunshine with a book in hand and before long my pool bag will be filled with them!

Have a great weekend!

I have wanted to read Mermaid Chair for some time. Have you read Secret Life of Bees too? I loved that one! You have a ton on your list. I love Elizabeth Berg and Jodi Picoult. I have loved and read all of the numbers by Janet Evanovich. Nice to meet you!

My first reading challenge was one hosted by Katrine - the Fall version. It is the perfect start. You have quite a list - I recognize a few authors (Picoult and Evanovich) but not many out of 35! Good luck with the challenge.
