Now onto new business. This week I'm wondering about series books. I'm about to finish The Inn Boonsboro triology by Nora Robert and I'm listening to her In the Garden trilogy as audiobooks right now (I'm on the first one). It's kind of fun to compare how her trilogies are alike but that doesn't really bother me. The storyline is great and I like the continuity of getting to know the characters. I also enjoy her In Death series. Other series I have enjoyed, Stephanie Plum by Janet Evanovich, Alex Cross & Women's Murder Club by James Patterson, Tempe Brennan by Kathy Reichs, the Divergent series by Veronica Roth and so many others. So what is your favorite series? Do you like series? Is there a time that a series might should end? (somehow I'm starting to wonder that with Stephanie Plum, but I enjoy the antics and would miss her). Let's hear it and be entered to win a $5 GC to Amazon or B&N.

I don't really like series because I probably wouldn't read a whole series but rather pick up one or two that sound interesting to me. I don't mind books that have a character that continues from one book to the next but not an ongoing storyline.
It really depends on the series, for me, to see if I want more or maybe it should have ended a book ago. Again it depends on each one, but I do usually like series. :)
Congrats winners!
I love reading series. My favorite to date is Julie Kagawa's Iron Fey books. I just love them!
My favorite is probably the Harry Potter series. I have mixed feelings about series. Sometimes they go on way too long. Often times trilogies are also unnecessary. I think a lot of those could be cut down. However there have been some very good series. In general I think any series beyond 7 books just might be too much.
I don't mind series books, I've been reading them since The Hardy Boys, but these days I seem to be getting more into standalones. Thanks.
I certainly love them - they allow you to revisit people you do not want to say good-bye to just yet. LOL Oh, and the Bridal Quartet was my intro to Nora Roberts. :) I really haven't read any author that has gone on and on with a series, so I can't say what is too long. Most authors are usually 3-4 books in their series. Also I should say I have not read an author where it is required to read them in a certain order, that usually their books, while they are in a series, they work as a standalone. So that can make a difference too, where there you can go on longer with a series and not get tired of it.
LOVE them! Although the are such a pain on the wallet. I love Patterson's WMC like you do but also JD Robb's In Death series! And of course there are so many great YA series these days it's hard to list them all.
Thanks!
My favorite series right now is A SONG OF ICE AND FIRE by George RR Martin. It's superb. The only thing I don't like is waiting.
I love series!
My favorite series is the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series by Laurell K. Hamilton.
Thanks for the chance to win!
I enjoy series. I love Jill Shalvis' Lucky Harbor series, Carly Phillips' Serendipity series or Roxanne St. Claire's Barefoot Bay series. You start to feel like you know the characters personally,
