Teaser Tuesday - August 3

teasertuesdays31

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Later, I realize that the one question that didn't even cross my mind was the most important one of all:  Will you keep my secret?
From Marked by Ally Condie (out 11/30/2010) - quote is from the ARC.

Matched

This book is so good - you just get absorbed right into the story.  I'm about 100 pages in at the moment and can't wait to see what happens next.  Think something along The Hunger Games, yet different.  That's just the type of book it reminds me of, not similarity in plot, but the way you get sucked right in.

Ohh, I've been waiting for this novel to come out -- it seems very interesting, indeed :)

My teaser is from Jen Lancaster’s funny Such a Pretty Fat: One Narcissist’s Quest to Discover If Her Life Makes Her Ass Look Big; Or, Why Pie Is Not the Answer.
