Hadn't heard of Pre before but maybe it would inspire me to get off my butt and back out running?

I have Off Season but haven't read it yet....
A long time ago, there was a movie called Pre, (I think) about Steve Prefontaine, I remember it was pretty good. I wonder if the book is what it was based on?
